Dresses Project

In this project, each student was assigned a fashion designer and conducted research on their work. We then selected a theme related to the designer and created a dress inspired by both the designer and the chosen theme.
I was assigned Walter Van Beirendonck, and my dress was inspired by the concept of toxic masculinity. I wanted to juxtapose the aggressive masculinity of sports with feminine colors and delicate cuts. This juxtaposition reflects Van Beirendonck’s signature style, which often provokes dialogue and challenges societal norms.
