SportsWear Project
In this course, each student was asked to design an athletic outfit inspired by a “family” of their choice.
I chose Art Deco architecture, drawn to its symmetry, geometry, and decorative precision.
From that inspiration, I created a sportswear set that merges functionality with design.
The look includes fitted leggings with symmetrical cut lines and multiple pockets, combining smooth and printed Lycra with mesh for ventilation. A matching sports bra features a back loop for hanging a shirt during running, paired with a lightweight nylon and mesh windbreaker and a fitted sleeve layer that echoes the leggings’ cut lines.
To complete the concept, I designed a large matching gym bag.
Throughout the project, practicality guided every decision—the garments were created to be functional, comfortable, and dynamic, just as much as they are visually refined.
